Professor Jiao, Shunfa
The inventor of the scalp, professor, chief physician, doctoral tutor.
He is currently the president of the Scalp Needling Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine. He used to be the director of the Health Bureau of Yuncheng District of Shanxi Province, the president of the People’s Hospital of Yuncheng District, the president of the Shanxi Acupuncture Association, and the executive director of the Chinese Acupuncture Society.
In 1960, he began to study neurology, clinical and research work. In 1970, he invented the “Scalp needling” and won the 1986 National Science and Technology Achievement Award for Major Scientific Research Achievements. In 1976, he invented a new method for carotid artery drip in the treatment of encephalopathy, which has been widely promoted and applied throughout the country. For 50 years, he has been extensively studied in clinical and theoretical aspects of acupuncture treatment, and found that Chinese acupuncture treatment has science base theories, ingenious method, and magical effect. He had written books: “Scalp Needle”, “Jiao, Shunfa’s Scalp Needling”, “Carotid Artery Drip Liquid for Cerebrovascular Disease”, “Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibusion”, “Chinese Acupuncture Spirit” “Acupuncture Principles and Clinical Practice”, “Acupuncture Classics”, “Acupuncture Treatment”, “Magic Needle”, “The Neuro-Principal of Acupuncture and Body Treatment”, etc. More than a dozen monographs were published.

He is currently the chief physician of the Chinese Medicine Acupuncture and Spinal Neuro-rehabilitation Clinic in Silicon Valley, California. He has been a graduate of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for more than 20 years. He is a medical qigong major at the Experimental Center of Guangzhou University. He is a doctor with a higher degree in traditional Chinese medicine clinical and folk traditional therapy. After graduating, he studied the theory of spine etiology theories and techniques of Professor Long, Cengfa. He once served as the director of the Department of Orthopedics and Chiropractic Rehabilitation at the Orthopedic Hospital of Dongshan District, Guangzhou, and led the doctors in the department to successfully promote and apply the theory of Professor Long, Cengfa and cured countless patients with spinal diseases. After moving to the United States in 1998, he continued to promote the theory and techniques of TCM and The Prof. Long’s theory. He won the excellent paper “Yellow Emperor Award” in the 7th and 8th World Chinese Medicine Congress. He served as the clinical researcher of the Oriental Medical Research Institute and teaching honorary professor. Later, he studied together with his wife, Yang, Luan, D.C., a doctor of Chiropractic, with the knowledge of American chiropractic medicine, joint osteotomy of the western osteopathic system, neuromuscular fascial techniques, and other concepts. The technology that is suitable for the safe and effective treatment of American Chinese medicine practitioners has been cured in Silicon Valley, California for more than a decade.
